Two bathrooms were converted into a large master bath with walk-in shower, heated floor, and his and hers vanities with a lowered sitting area for makeup.
The rural forest setting was used as inspiration to create a spa like feeling in the woods. The bathroom features alder cabinets, travertine countertops, and porcelain tile flooring. Wall mount faucets at the vanities are surrounded by glass mosaic tile, the fluid lines reinforce the element of water. The two person shower features a standard head and a hand held shower for ease in cleaning and function. The play of textures in nature comes through in the slate walls surrounding the shower, the smooth marble shower walls are a contrast to the river stone shower floor, glass mosaic tile accents are a feature running down the back wall.
This remodeling project transformed an entire wing of the home into a luxurious master suite and taking advantage of the rural forest setting.
A room divider separates the new master bedroom and sitting area. The custom designed divider houses a two sided gas fireplace and 50" flat screen TV that rotates 180 degrees for viewing from either side.
